Our commitment to the highest standards of publication integrity

Jus Scriptum is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All submitted manuscripts are subjected to an initial screening followed by a double-blind peer review. The journal has a strict Anti-Plagiarism Policy in conformance with UGC (Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2018. Plagiarism, data fabrication, and other forms of academic misconduct are strictly prohibited.

Anti-Plagiarism Policy (UGC Guidelines)

Jus Scriptum strictly adheres to the guidelines and directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC): UGC (Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2018.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous plagiarism screening process immediately upon receipt.
A similarity index of up to 10% is acceptable (excluding references/bibliography), corresponding to Level 0 of UGC classification.
Submissions found to have Level 1 (10% to 40%), Level 2 (40% to 60%), or Level 3 (above 60%) similarity will be subject to appropriate penalties, including revision requests or summary rejection in accordance with UGC mandates.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure their work is entirely original and properly cite the work of others.
Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is unethical and unacceptable.
Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that may influence their research.
If a significant error is discovered after publication, authors must promptly notify the editor.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively and provide constructive feedback.
Reviewers must maintain confidentiality of the peer review process.
Reviewers should declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves if necessary.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors must evaluate manuscripts based on academic merit, regardless of the author's background.
Editors must ensure the confidentiality of the review process.
Editors must take appropriate action in cases of suspected misconduct.
