Preliminary Exam: Objective-type screening test (100 questions, 200 marks, 2.5 hours)
Main Exam: Written test (4 papers, 100 marks each) and viva-voce (50 marks)
Final Selection: Based on Main Exam and Viva-Voce scores
Eligibility Criteria
For Direct Recruitment:
● Age Limit: Below 35 years (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-servicemen)
● Education: Law degree recognized by the Bar Council of India
● Character & Health: Good character and sound health
For Recruitment by Transfer:
● Age Limit: Below 54 years
● Education: Law degree
● Eligible Officers: Includes Assistant Public Prosecutors, Sheristadars, Law Department Officers, etc.
